On January 19, 2026, a delegation from Osh International Medical University paid a working visit to the Andijan Branch of Kokand University.
The delegation consisted of 18 members, including 11 faculty representatives and 7 students of OIMU. During the visit, the guests took guided tours of the host institution’s educational and laboratory facilities and held working meetings with the branch administration.
During the discussions, the parties considered prospects for developing inter-university cooperation, enhancing academic mobility of students and faculty, exchanging teaching experience, and implementing joint educational initiatives as well as preparing scientific publications.
At the initiative of the host institution, guest lectures were delivered by OIMU professors and associate professors for students of the Andijan Branch of Kokand University. The lectures addressed актуал (current) topics in modern medicine and medical education, attracted significant interest, and were followed by an active Q&A discussion.
A key outcome of the visit was the signing of a cooperation agreement between Osh International Medical University and the Andijan Branch of Kokand University. The document aims to develop long-term partnership in education, research, and international activities.
This visit became an important step in strengthening OIMU’s international ties and expanding cooperation with medical education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
